AIIMS Deoghar is a premier government-medical institution located in Deoghar, Jharkhand. It was established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute began functioning in 2019, with its first MBBS batch. It is declared an “Institute of National Importance” and follows the model of the original AIIMS, New Delhi. The campus spans approximately 236.92 acres, offering a large space for academic, hospital and residential infrastructure. The academic programmes include MBBS (125 seats per year) and B.Sc (Hons) Nursing (62 seats) among others. Hospital services are rapidly expanding, with OPD, IPD and emergency services being developed to serve patients in the region.
